Savannah, Georgia City Guide

For over 20 years, Pamela Lanier's Savannah, Georgia Travel Guide has been your connection to Savannah's tourism community with invaluable details on local attractions, restaurants, shopping, museums, history, outdoor recreation and more.

Around town

When the bed and breakfast traveler has finished visiting all of Savannah’s historical attractions, the shopping and quirky restaurants all over the city should provide a welcome break. Or combine the two and visit the City Market and eat at one of its cafes for lunch, or enjoy the fresh seafood brought in from the fishing boats in the mornings at a restaurant near the Tybee Island Light Station.
If you’re looking for a lively scene, Savannah offers over 200 festivals a year. These festivals are as varied as bed and breakfast enthusiasts and include family- friendly themes, art shows, ghost hunting and boat parades along River Street. Savannah also has various places to stop and see a show, if the performing arts are high on your list of things to see and do.
