Julian Events

Julian Apple Days Festival is a weekend of entertainment and excitement, celebrating Julian’s apple history. Throughout the festival, you’ll enjoy music and karaoke, vendors selling unique merchandise and fabulous food, a beer and wine garden, antique tractors on display, and of course bushels and bushels of apples! Don’t miss the Apple Pie Baking Contest, and be sure to take a pie home with you. While staying at a historic Julian bed and breakfast ideally situated in town, you can enjoy a full day of entertainment and immediately settle into the comfort of your bed and breakfast.

Lucille Ball made it famous in a hilarious episode of “I Love Lucy,” and now it’s your turn to stomp grapes old world style at the Julian Grape Stomp Festa. With one stomping barrel for adults and one for children, this is a fantastic day of fun for everyone. With Italian music playing in the background, grapes are blessed and then poured into barrels to be stomped. Enjoy food and crafts, wine tasting and bocce ball, and gorgeous apple orchard views and rolling vineyard vistas. Book your stay early at a Julian bed and breakfast to ensure you’ll be in town for this annual, one-of-a-kind festival; you won’t want to miss it and bed and breakfasts will fill!

Julian’s Annual Blues Bash is a fun time for all. Held at a gorgeous winery and featuring wine tasting, BBQ, cold beer, and apple pie, you’re invited to bring a lawn chair and sit back to enjoy the bash.

Julian California celebrates its gold rush history each year with Gold Rush days, a two-day festival complete with historic comedy skits, re-enactments of significant historical events, gold panning, and museum visits. Your best bet for information about the Gold Rush and what to do in Julian is your innkeeper, no one knows Julian better than these locals committed to welcoming visitors into their city.
