San Diego Events

The Gaslamp Quarter, named for the gas lamps which once lit its streets, is a hotspot for shopping, dining and entertainment. With nearly 200 places to eat and shop, and 35 nightclubs, the Quarter is always buzzing. It also hosts some popular events such as Mardi Gras in the Gaslamp, Taste of Gaslamp, The San Diego Film Festival, and ShamROCK (a St. Patrick’s Day Bash). Live performance theaters, clubs, wine bars and many more attractions ensure a great time for any taste in one of the most historic areas of the city. Three major sport centers operate within the city; Qualcomm Stadium, home to the San Diego Chargers, The San Diego University Aztecs and the Holiday Bowl; Petco Park, home of the San Diego Padres; and the San Diego Sports Arena, which has sporting events from boxing to ice hockey, and hosts concerts and offers family entertainment. San Diego bed and breakfasts are conveniently located near downtown, providing a prime opportunity to enjoy the city’s events and nightlife with easy access to the comforts of your bed and breakfast at the end of the night.
