Parks & Recreation
Themes parks are a perfect addition to any vacation, and if a western gun fight, rides, live music, shows, food and terrific mountain views sounds like fun, pack up the kids and go to the Ghost Town in the Sky. Or for a more magical day, take a ride on the Rudicoaster at Santa's Land Theme Park & Zoo. The kids will adore the animals in the petting zoo, and a visit with Santa is exciting anytime of the year. Another fun stop is at the Pressley Sapphire Mine; see what kind of dazzling gem you can dig up and bring home. Another great way to unwind is to spend an afternoon at the Waynesville Recreation Park. There's a playground for the kids, picnic areas, a swimming pool, and tennis courts.
