The Arts in Astoria

The arts flourish in Astoria. From music to theater to painting, artists are welcomed and inspired by the sights and sounds of the town of Astoria. Astoria Performing Arts, Inc is a musical group that is dedicated to bringing classical music and opera to the residents of the Oregon coast. A bed and breakfast visit to Astoria should definitely include a performance of the Classical Astoria concert series, which is on the second weekend of each month in various venues around Astoria.

Another group that celebrates the arts in Astoria is the Astor Street Opry Company, which performs live theater in the historic Uniontown neighborhood of Astoria. Here you'll find memorable and often zany performances that will have you talking all the way back to your bed and breakfast! And if you simply want to see a variety of different acts, visit the newly refurbished Liberty Theater in downtown Astoria. This theater is an original 1920's Vaudeville Picture Palace—simply stepping within its doors is like having a history lesson.
