“The Greatest City of The Arts…”

Eugene is known for its extensive culture and arts programs. The Hult Center for Performing Arts is home to various performing art organizations, including the Eugene Ballet Company, the Eugene Symphony, the Eugene Opera, the Eugene Concert Choir and more. Each year, the Hult Center hosts the renowned Oregon Bach Festival, a series of concerts that showcase the talents of internationally renown classical musicians.

Various unique shops and specialty stores are scattered throughout the city of Eugene selling art, crafts, and clothing. Be sure to ask your bed and breakfast innkeeper to point you in the direction of a few of their favorite ones; you don’t want to miss out on these distinctive gems! Fifth Street Market is a beautiful boutique mall where you’ll find many of these exceptional one-of-a-kind shops clustered in one place. If you’re looking for a long-lasting impression from this city, stop by the Saturday Market, the United State’s oldest open-air crafts festival held weekly. Helping to make this event memorable are street performers and live music that winds its way along the street lined with art stalls. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself transported back to the 1960’s and 1970’s, as it has been remarked that the atmosphere of the Saturday Market is reminiscent of that era.
For a more subdued stroll, wander the paths on the 250-acre campus of the University of Oregon. These tree-lined walkways twist their way around the 19th-century brick buildings and the beautiful blooming landscaping.
