Sebastopol

Located in the oak-studded, rolling hills on Hwy. 12, is the lovely town of Sebastopol. The bustling downtown area features a diverse mix of cafes, specialty shops, music and bookstores. The hills all around Sebastopol are covered with apple orchards, vineyards, Christmas tree and pumpkin farms, as well as organic specialty shops. This city loves its apples and you won't want to miss their two annual celebrations, the Gravenstein Apple Fair in August and the Apple Blossom Festival in April.

Visit the family owned and run Kozlowski Farms and sample gourmet jams, dressings, salsa, ciders and more, made on the premises. There is a wonderful bakery and deli, a picnic area, and gift shop. Kozlowski Farms is located at 5566 Gravenstein Hwy in Forestville.

For a big dose of Sonoma County’s spectacular scenery try Sonoma West Tours, which is based in Sebastopol. It offers tours to redwood forests, the picturesque Sonoma Coast and the wine country. Knowledgeable guides, who provide lively commentary, insider stories, facts about the local history, geography, geology, natural history, and agricultural heritage of this beautiful area, conduct the tours.
