Whistler offers an impressive line-up of arts, cultural and sporting events. During the summer, the Whistler Jazz and Blues Festival features an outstanding assortment of jazz and blues performances. Groove to the live rhythms of swing, gospel, blues as well as Latin and classic jazz alongside professional DJs spinning house mixes.
The Telus World Ski and Snowboarding Festival is the largest sports event in North America, featuring over two thousand athletes. Activities include celebrity events, film festival, demo days, live music, and some of the world’s top athletes going head-to-head in the Ripzone Snowboard Invitational, which includes Superpipe, Big Air and an all-new Jib contest - Jibzone. The fun takes place every April.
The Whistler Museum & Archives highlights Whistler's history through engaging exhibits, programs, presentations and wonderful collections. Trace Whistler's resort development and skiing through memorabilia from the 1960s to the present; learn about local ski heroes; examine original ski boots and outerwear from period skiers; and see Whistler's first chairlift from 1965! The Museum's natural history section includes a fine collection of preserved local and trans-migratory birds, current exhibits and a variety of educational and entertaining programs.
