Amsterdam’s Red Light District is unlike anywhere else in the world, and you might really have to see it to believe it. Prostitution is legal in Holland, and the Red Light District is incredibly tolerant. There are officially three Red Light Districts; one in the Walletjes area, one in the Singel area, and one in de Pijp behind the Rijksmuseum. The most popular time to visit the Red Light District is between 11pm to 2am.

English-language theatre abounds in Amsterdam. Every night of the week, the Leidseplein beckons, inviting you to enjoy the nightlife from one of Amsterdam’s most popular centers. Theatres, cafes, restaurants, cinemas, and live music venues abound on this 17th-century square. Enjoy comedy at the Comedy Café or find a spot on the sidewalk to watch the musicians, jugglers, and fire-eaters performing on the street. The Leidseplein is a lively place, indeed!
