Parks & Gardens
A relaxing afternoon in the park is always a pleasure and the most famous park in Barcelona is the Park Guell, also selected and honored by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. The works of the famous architect Antonio Gaudi' is displayed in grand dimension at the main entrance. Gaudi's best work is the found in the Sagrada Familia church that has been under construction since 1882, no wonder it's the most visited site in Barcelona. An interesting park where you can browse through the museums and then take a stroll through the magnificent gardens or rent a boat for a cruise around the lake in the Park de la Ciudadella in Barri Gotic. A trip to the hilltop of Montjuic is well worth the effort with its enchanting parks, art galleries, a "Spanish Village" and the most unbelievable view of the city from the top of the hill.
