Cortona Cuisine
Cortona offers good restaurants serving typical Tuscan food. Wild boar (cinghiale) is very popular. If you visit Cortona in mid-August, you'll get the chance to taste particularly delicious grilled steaks from cattle reared in the famous Chianina Valley below. Pair your food with local Sangiovese or Syrah wine. Finish off the meal with a Amaro di Miele (a sweet liqueur made from wildflower/orange blossom honey).
