Dining

Dining in Florence can be anything from Affettati Misti (cold sliced meats) with crisp bruschette toast or a tasty antipasto and a spicy bowl of minestrone soup at a Trattoria, café or an Enoteca (wine bar) to a full course dinner at an elegant ristorante. The Italians love to eat and savor over traditional lengthy dinners while socializing. With this in mind, the cuisine that the Italian chefs prepare is well planned to suit the most discriminating of palates. They carefully choose just the right ingredients and the freshest produce, meat and fish in which to prepare some of the finest meals in all of Italy.

Dinner may include the following: delicious Trippa alla Fiorentina (Florentine tripe), Stracotto (braised beef), Sogliola alla Fiorentina (Florentine sole), aldente' Pasta with Ragu' di Carne alla Fiorentina (Florentine meat sauce) or Salsa di Pomodoro (tomato sauce, Fettunta (toasted bread with olive oil), Pasta e Fagioli (pasta with beans) served with a robust glass of Italian Chianti Riserva. A delectable dessert of Schiacciata alla Fiorentina (sponge cake covered with icing), Crespelle Dolci (sweet pancakes) or a Castagnaccio chestnut cake creates a perfect ending to your dining experience.
