Guadalajara, Mexico City Guide

For over 20 years, Pamela Lanier's Guadalajara, Mexico Travel Guide has been your connection to Guadalajara's tourism community with invaluable details on local attractions, restaurants, shopping, museums, history, outdoor recreation and more.

Zoo

A day at the Zoologico and Safari is a highlight to any vacation, whether traveling with children or not. Your journey will begin with an expedition in a safari vehicle with stops along the way to view the giraffes, cheetahs and an authentic African Massai village. Then you’re off to the Amphitheater for one of the Bird or Reptile shows or to the Komodo Reserve to view a real life Komodo Dragon. For smaller children, stop by the petting zoo or take a ride on the train.

When you’re ready to take a break from touring, eating and maybe even dancing, find a bench in the tranquil Parque Agua Azul (Blue Water Park), Guadalajara's city park. Relax with a good book or take a siesta on the grassy lawn (sleep with your daybag under your head, you can never be too cautious).
