Restaurants

The beauty of visiting Hawke’s Bay is the ability to immerse into the local lifestyle, which is dominated by great local wines and fresh produce. Most eateries only use local fresh. Every meal is a delectable treat, normally accompanied with a drop of wine from one of the 40 or so wineries dotted throughout Hawke’s Bay. Food is celebrated every weekend at the Farmers Markets hosted by the Hawke’s Bay Food Group. The region is recognized on the world stage for award winning wines, particularly for the quality of its red wines. Although there is a focus on alfresco dining, all tastes and dining options are available. Hot breakfast or brunch spots are aplenty with many cafés. Lunch tends to be long in Hawke’s Bay and is usually spent at one of the many wineries either at a table or sitting amongst the vines and grapes.
