Working since 1995, their aim has been to work with local organizations, government and community agencies to promote sustainable eco-cultural tourism. Many fisherman on the local beaches offer eco friendly tours of the area. The people of Port Antonio are very conscious about the effects of tourism and carefully protect their beloved town. Many B&B’s in the area take their own steps to lessen their carbon footprint, promoting “ecotourism” in their bed and breakfasts.
