Parks
A favorite park for a leisurely afternoon is the Colline du Chateau. The views from the hilltop are impressive and the park offers medieval ruins, a Maritime museum, a brilliant waterfall, a children's play area and lovely pathways to explore. For a unique experience go to Parc Phoenix on the Ile des Temps Revolus ("The Island That Time Forgot") to see plants, butterflies and birds living in harmony within a subtropical greenhouse. For a special outing for the kids, take a walk through the glass tunnel of the shark pool and watch a performance by the dolphins and the killer whales at the Marineland Sea Life Centre.
