Playa del Carmen Shopping
Shopping is a main activity in Playa del Carmen and you can find just about anything you need or want in town. Hardware stores, hair salons, pharmacies, tattoo parlors, grocery stores, and boutique shops are dotted all along 5th Avenue as well as scattered about other parts of town. If you’re in need of a bathing suit, Cuban cigars, rum, Mayan clothes, or trinkets, Playa del Carmen shops sell goods from all over the world and you may be surprised by how cosmopolitan their items are. Save space in your suitcase for all the souvenirs and goodies you purchase, and plan to take a taxi or bus back to your bed and breakfast to transport your shopping bags home from the stores!
