Things to do in Hilo
There is always something to do in downtown Hilo and the East Hawaii Cultural Center is a good place to start. Visitors are encouraged to experience one of the many cultural festivals and pursue an art exhibit on display in any of the center’s three galleries. If a day at the beach sounds like fun, plan a full or half day at Leleiwi Beach for some swimming, snorkeling or even surfing (don’t forget your picnic). Hilo also features a municipal golf course where a few rounds will more than likely fill your day.
