For Volcano Village, The Farmers Market is the weekly social event. This is where people go to exchange news, say "Aloha" to their friends, meet some new people, buy locally grown fresh vegetables, herbs, fruits, and flowers. Locally made food products and the islands best fresh baked goods, such as sweet cheese croissants, almond bear claws, macadamia croissant, angel-wing pesto rolls, fresh baked bread, gourmet food (for lunch/dinner) by one of our own local culinary experts, and lots more can be acquired the market.

Want to see how Yuletide is celebrated from atop an active volcano? Stop by the Annual Christmas in the County - you'll find that it's really quite warm and cozy. Local crafters sell ornaments and gifts. Curious visitors wander through the Exhibit of Wreaths and Holiday Treasures. Children and adults nibble on Christmas cookies. There are even occasional visits from Santa Claus himself! Of course, it's never a White Christmas, but nobody seems to mind.
