Summer Attractions

When it’s warm outside head to the lake for some great summer time activities, just don’t forget sunscreen- all that dazzling, sparkling water reflects and magnifies the radiant sun beaming down on you. Rent a speedboat or kayak and cruise about the lake while the wind skimming the water riffles through your hair. For even bigger thrills, catch the wind in your parachute while parasailing, or ride the waves on jet skis. Or settle down for a nap aboard your boat after you’ve set up your fishing lines. Your bed and breakfast innkeepers are your best source for those extra special fishing sweet spots, or particular hiking trails that showcase the best of Lake Tahoe’s views.

There are hiking and biking trails crisscrossing all of Lake Tahoe, and all are gorgeous. Have your B&B innkeepers pack some sandwiches and a blanket and find a spot overlooking Emerald Bay for a picnic lunch with a truly magnificent vista of the royal blue waters of the bay. To spend the whole day taking in panoramic views of the entire lake and surrounding forest, take a hot air balloon ride to experience the awesome grandeur of the area. If you’d rather stay closer to the clubhouse, golf courses like the Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course, Northstar-at-Tahoe, and the Incline Village Championship Golf Course offer excellent courses with near perfect conditions.
