Chew Up The Scenery

There's not a bad seat in the house when it comes to taking in the scenery of Prescott. Whether it's a trip to the Grand Canyon, a visit to Sedona or a drive to the Prescott National Forest, every road is a scenic wonder. Only 20 minutes out of town, the Prescott National Forest has over 450 miles of trails and 100,000 acres of wilderness and the area has five mountain lakes. For the more adventurous, there are guided walking, hiking and biking tours that explore the mountains and forests, but the bottom line is you don't even need to get out of your car to enjoy the spectacular views.

Some of the best views in town are from the area’s many golf courses. Largely touted as a popular golf destination, Prescott prides itself on having Arizona's most beautiful and affordable courses. Among them are the Antelope Hills Golf Course, a challenging par 72 course with panoramic views, the Hale Irwin-designed par 72 at Prescott Lakes Golf Club and the luxurious StoneRidge Golf Course known for its sweeping vistas, stone outcroppings and dramatic elevation changes.
