Sedona, Arizona City Guide

Sedona has fine restaurants, shopping and spas. Sedona's climate makes hiking and golf year-round activities, and its red rock canyons and vortexes continue to inspire artists and seekers.

Sedona, AZ

Driving into Sedona, Arizona you can almost feel the stress release from your body. In the heart of the state, about 100 miles north of Phoenix, lies a town steeped in history, art and spiritual energy surrounded by some of the country's most breathtaking scenery.

At the mouth of Oak Creek Canyon in Arizona's high desert Red Rock Country, Sedona was named "The Most Beautiful Place in America" by USA Weekend's Annual travel report.

Although there is plenty to do in Sedona, with its charming galleries and boutiques and world-class spas and resorts, many people come to Sedona to do nothing at all except take in the majesty of the red rock buttes and monoliths, Ponderosa pine forests and vibrant energy of its natural vortexes. It's almost as if Sedona has it's own atmosphere. Even if you don't buy into the whole New Age movement, there is no denying that the desert air invigorates the body and rejuvenates the soul. Not to mention that the climate is mild and dry -- average temperatures about 74 degrees year round.

So put your top down, shift into low gear and coast into a "peace" of paradise.
