Museums
The Heritage Art Guild & Gallery is conveniently located on Front St. in downtown Natchitoches. The guild is dedicated to the works of local artists, displaying sculptures, paintings of historical homes and fine jewelry. The twenty-seven room Magnolia Plantation, a living museum from the 1800’s, is a lovely example of Creole Architecture. The grounds surrounding the house are charming with spectacular river views. The Old Court House museum is a splendid building reminiscent of Romanesque Architecture. Visitors are invited to tour the museum and its exhibits featuring the history of Louisiana and its culture.
