Freeport Arts

The arts are alive and well in Freeport. The Freeport Creative Arts Initiative is dedicated to keeping the arts flourishing and accessible in Freeport. This means that there are plenty of opportunities for Freeport bed and breakfast to witness and take parts in the arts scene. They host many festivals, including the Creative Spirits Summer Festival, which is widely attended by both artists and those who just love arts. They also promote gallery shows, where artists are there to answer questions and explain the inspirations for their works. A great place to catch live art is the Freeport Performing Arts Center, which is brand new and state-of-the-art. Here you can find performances from symphonies and choral societies to comedy troupes and community theater. Expect to be entertained! Another group that promotes Freeport's arts is the Freeport Community Players, who put on widely popular community theater performances that are both original and entertaining, and often daring! Expect to find the Freeport Community Players at many local events, including the popular Freeport Sparkle Weekend event in early December.
