Nevada Bed and Breakfast
Nevada's temperatures can reach 115 degrees F in the summer and as low as 10 degrees F at night during the winter. There are lush forests high in the mountains and desolate desert plains where seemingly nothing grows. You can easily get married and just as easily get divorced. Gambling is legal and so is prostitution. The B&B traveler can lose track of time in this exciting playground.
Reno and Las Vegas, NV are the two of the largest cities in the state and home to 85% of Nevada's population. Reno is located in the Sierra Nevada mountain range and Las Vegas in the Mojave Desert. Both locales are famous for their casinos, where bed and breakfast gamblers can enjoy endless hours of cards and chips. Tourism in Las Vegas revolves around gaming and entertainment, whereas as Reno, with its proximity to Lake Tahoe offers the bed and breakfast adventurer fabulous, outdoor, recreational activities as well. In winter there is skiing, downhill and cross-country, snowboarding and snowshoeing. In summer, the lake offers a plethora of water, boating and beach activities. Las Vegas celebrates "First Friday" which is an exhibit of the works of local artists and musicians held the first Friday of every month in the downtown Arts District. Bed and breakfast families can also visit the Las Vegas Zoo with over 150 species of flora and fauna. The Hoover Dam and Lake Mead which was created by the building of the dam are located just 30 miles from Las Vegas, NV and are a point of interest worth visiting when the bed and breakfast traveler needs a change of pace from the lights and action that is Las Vegas.
