Bran Muffins - Print Friendly Page



  
Yield: 1 dozen 

Ingredients:
1/4 cup shortening
1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1/4 cup molasses
2 eggs
1 cup milk
1 1/2 cups wheat bran
1 cup flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup raisins

Instructions:
Cream shortening and sugar together. Add molasses and eggs and beat well. Add milk and bran. Add dry ingredients and raisins if desired. Bake at 400 for about 18 minutes.
