Raw Apple Cake - Print Friendly Page

Ingredients:
2 cups sugar
1½ cup oil
3 eggs
3 cups self rising flour
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups chopped tart apples, Granny Smith are best
1½ cups chopped nuts

Cake Topping:
1 cup light brown sugar
1½ stick margarine
¼ cup milk
Whole pecans may be added for garnish

Bring to rolling boil and cook for 3 minutes.
Pour over warm cake.

Instructions:
Beat with mixer: sugar, oil and eggs until well blended. Add flour & vanilla gradually. By hand, stir in apples and nuts until well blended. Pour into greased or sprayed tube pan. Bake 1 hour and 10 minutes in 350°F preheated oven.
