Ingredients: 4 Granny Smith Apples.
1 stick butter
1/2 cup sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
whipped cream
4 cinnamon sticks
Instructions: Peel, core and slice the apples as if you were going to make a pie.
Melt the butter in a sautee pan on medium heat. Add the apples the sugar and the cinnamon and stir until everything is mixed.
Sautee the apples until they are tender not mushy.
Put in a pretty dish and squirt some whipped cream on the top of the apples. Sprinkle some cinnamon sugar on the top of the whipped cream and stick a cinnamon stick in the whipped cream for a garnish.
Notes: Apple Pie without the crust. Delightful start to the day.
Crisp Granny Smith apples sauteed in butter and cinnamon sugar served with whipped cream.
