Hello From The Bahamas
With the holidays past and winter weather in full swing many folks are starting to think about a winter getaway - see the following specials for some great quick getaways nearby wherever you are. As I write this I'm onboard the 9th annual Seminar at Sea which is a wonderful seminar for experienced and aspiring innkeepers alike put on by Claude and Mariette Gagne of www.innmarketing.com.
We are presently cruising from Cozumel Mexico to the Bahamas. During the two sea days there are morning and afternoon master presentations on topics of importance to innkeepers; today Marie Lanier is speaking about "Destination Marketing on the Internet" and this afternoon I will discuss in a roundtable format the benefits of "Profiting from Your Floor Space." In addition, the winners of a free cruise this year will discuss their winning idea for Marketing Your Inn, and Cluade and Mariette will discuss Inn Insurance and Developing an Exit Strategy. This annual cruise is not only a lot of fun with much camaraderie but also a tremendous learning experience ...this years attendees have over 50 years combined innkeeping experience, so you can imagine just how much learning is taking place in a relaxed atmosphere.
