The Pamela Bed & Breakfast Blog
The Holidays are finally here!!
Ilove the holidays and many years it's over the hills and thru the woods to family houses. This holiday, with most of my family leashed to the four corners, my husband and I have decided to take a little road trip and check into some cozy B&B's down the Northern California Coast. While we know the weather will be on and off again, we're looking forward to someone else's decorations, warm fireplaces and hopefully a hot tub under the stars! It's such a treat sneaking away at the holidays, getting away from the hustle and bustle of preparing for the holiday celebrations. This year we're focusing on ourselves, taking a true bed and breakfast getaway. Assuredly we'll meet other guest's around the breakfast table, learn about their traditions, drink some homemade eggnog prepared by our innkeepers. It's these things for me that make the bed and breakfast experience so unique and fun. I can't wait to enter someone else's home, to see their creative spin on the holidays, celebrate with strangers who quickly become friends.
I feel that staying in a bed and breakfast is the absolute best alternative to a family gathering what with the company of the innkeepers (a cheery group who usually can't resist an opportunity to share) and newfound friends.
May your holiday be a joyous and peaceful one, I hope you find time to sneak away and indulge in a night or two for yourself at a local B&B.
