Make the Most of Your Per Diem
I 've noticed with interest lately, while traveling statistics are down, those that are traveling on government and other per diems, seem to be holding steady. This newfound trend is a prime opportunity to explore what is available, and make the biggest bang for your buck, as well as spend your time away in the most enjoyable, relaxed manner. A great way to make the most of per diem travel is to stay at a bed and breakfast. Why you might ask?
Well, mid week, inns that would charge considerably more on the weekends are happy to accept per diem travelers who are usually off at their work all day. Therefore, you are able to enjoy a much more luxurious travel experience than you would at many other types of lodging for the same amount of money. In addition, since breakfast is included in the rate, and sometimes even in evening snacks as well, your travel dollars can be stretched even further. Another good reason to stay at a B&B, is that your innkeeper is your own personal concierge! There is nothing like staying with a tuned-in local, in order to make the most out of your hours. Innkeepers treat you as a personal guest in their fabulous bed and breakfasts, making you feel comfortable and welcomed, especially after a long day on the job. With a little extra energy, and the help of your innkeeper, maybe a couple of hour dawn fishing trips can be added to your day’s agenda. While it’s not possible for everyone traveling on a per diem, some lucky folks are able to take there significant others along. While you work, your partner can play and enjoy, having a cozy B&B to retreat to throughout the day. After your long day at the office, look forward to coming home to your sweetheart in your cozy inn. Some bed and breakfasts even offer the choice of a home cooked meal.
Make your bed and breakfast a home away from home, and spend your days stress free, knowing you are being personally taken care of. Avoid the impersonal attention of a large corporate hotel, and check out the beautiful bed and breakfast options near your destination. Add a special touch to your per diem travel experience and enjoy yourself after a tiresome day.

Best,
