The self-guided tour of participating inns ... each with their own ghost stories ... will offer ticket holders a sampling of traditional treats prepared especially for Halloween. The Ghost & Goblin Trail© stretches throughout the Presidential Range of the White Mountains of NH. Featured inns and their Country Partners, several locally owned and equally fun-loving businesses, will open their doors to costumed characters, spirits in Halloween make-up, and street-clothed participants alike. Those “dressed for the occasion” will automatically receive their treats and clues. However, those in street clothes must earn their treat at every stop ... by first performing a task drawn from a bag o’ tricks. Guests will also participate in the judging of each inn’s entrance decorations and treats. The Great Mystery Muddle of the White Mountains is a riddle and jumbled word contest. The tour inns will accompany their gastronomic goodie with a clue hidden within their tour booklet page. The grand prize valued at over $400 includes a $200 certificate good toward a two-night stay at any participating Bed and Breakfasts Inn Mt. Washington Valley, a dinner certificate for The Notchland Inn, a horse or carriage ride for two at the Farm by the River & Stables, and a special treat bag chock-a-block full with fun prizes contributed by the Bed & Breakfasts Inn Mt.
