Offer Valid: 01/01/2009 - 01/02/2010 Savings: Details: November 6, 2009 - January 2, 2010 Guests can take a step back in time when visiting the Biltmore House for the 2009 Candlelight Christmas Evening season. This year's theme is A Gilded Age Christmas. Guests will experience an array of activities that Mr. Vanderbilt offered his own family and guests. Visitors will enjoy a self-guided walking tour that takes them through four floors and the basement. Inside the Estate guests will find rooms and Christmas trees decorated with traditional Christmas decorations inspired by the Vanderbilt family's world travels, Choirs singing traditional and European carols, instrumentalists and vocalists performing traditional carols on the third floor, dancers in the ballroom and storytellers of traditional Christmas stories. The Estate entrance will be lined with decorated Spruce trees and the Lodge Gate will be lit to accent its features. The front lawn provides an Evergreen "forest" with the centerpiece being a huge evergreen tree surrounded by other evergreen trees of various sizes. At night this "forest" will be sparkling with thousands of lights. Daytime Visit View this gorgeous display during the day; it's included in your regular Biltmore admission (see above). Evening Experience Evening tours require reservations a minimum of 48 hours in advance. Reservations must be made by North Lodge and a confirmation will be obtained for our guests. It is important that guests advise the Innkeeper of their desire for the Evening Experience well in advance of the required 48 hours. Also, because these tours fill quickly the Innkeeper may not be able to secure a reservation for our guests at a specific time. Therefore our guests will need to provide a suitable time range for the requested appointment and our guests will be notified once the appointment is confirmed The cost is an additional $10.00 per ticket to upgrade from a Daytime ticket. Evening tickets are non-refundable. This Experience is not available on November 24th or 26th, or December 24th and 25th. |
