Bodega Bay

Bodega Bay is a bustling little fishing village located on the Pacific Coast, just 68 miles North of San Francisco. Back in the 1950’s, it became known around the world as the setting for Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds." The locals are happy to show visitors various film locales including the bar at the Inn of the Tides. These days, Bodega Bay offers a variety of activities including golf, boat charters, restaurants, horseback riding and gift shops. Because of its ideal location, Bodega Bay is a favorite place to view migrating whales from December through March, as well as migrating butterflies during October and November. You will also want to keep an eye out for Great Blue Herons and Egrets.

The Chanslor Stables is a full service horse ranch for the entire family that offers guided trail rides along the Sonoma Coast and scenic canyon hills. There are activities for all ages and overnight accommodations are available at the charming Bed & Breakfast located right on the ranch.
