While in San Diego, the coastline offers dozens of recreation opportunities. The City’s reservoirs provide a variety of outdoors activities, such as boating, fishing, and hiking. El Capitan reservoir is the place to bring your jetski, and Lake Hodges’ has the perfect setting to Windsurf.
Mission Trails Regional Park encompasses over 5,000 acres of recreation areas for hiking and camping, and provides guided tours. While Mission Bay Park is the largest man-made aquatic park in the country and offers walking and jogging trail, playgrounds, picnicking, and cook-out areas, and remains a popular spot for sailing model yachts or flying kites.
For those who enjoy the green, the City of San Diego Park & Recreational Department operates three municipal golf courses: Torrey Pines, Balboa Park and the Mission Bay Golf Course and Practice Center.
