Bev and I were born and raised in Iowa. We met in high school in our senior year in Cedar Rapids, thus making us high school sweethearts.

I actually started my career out in teaching Social Studies in Hamburg, Iowa, but after two years I realized it wasn't for me. It was after Bev had graduated with her degree in Mathematics and started working for a company called TRW in Redondo Beach, CA that I decided to return to school to get my degree in Computer Science.

We spent nearly 6 years in the Los Angeles area before returning to Iowa with our 2 small children after the death of Bev's father. We then spent the next 20 years raising our children, Trisha and Chris, keeping an eye on our widowed mothers, and working as software engineers at Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids.

We have one cat that lives with us, Candace. Ok, we are actually her staff but that is another story. She have never seen the inside of the Inn due to other people with allergies but roams the owners' residence as if she owns it. If you are a pet owner you know what we mean!

Trisha, our daughter, lives in Akron, OH with her husband Mike. Sadly, no grandchildren.

Chris and his wife Kathy lives in Pittsfield, MA with our grandson, Caleb. They have another one on the way, as I write this!
