We are your Innkeepers Craig and Karen Groth. Craig is a retired Chicago Police Detective and Karen is a Flight Attendant for Northwest Airlines. Karen's job with the airline has afforded us the opportunity to travel throughout the United States and Europe. We have especially enjoyed our trips to England. Our love affair with bed and breakfasts started in 1972 while honeymooning in England. From that London townhouse, with its shared bathroom down the hall and breakfast in the basement, to Napa Valley's elegant bed and breakfasts, with hot tubs and fireplaces, our dream to have our own bed and breakfast was born.



We offer you "An American bed and breakfast with an English accent " incorporating ideas from our stays in various bed and breakfasts throughout England and the United States. The gracious charm and hospitality of the bed and breakfasts in England have always made us feel as though we were visiting close friends rather than renting accommodations. The breakfasts were more than generous and the Innkeepers always willing to listen to the tale of the day's happenings or to advise us on where to go and what to see. However, unlike England our bathrooms are heated and private. As in Napa, we serve wine and cheese in the early evening, if you prefer scones and tea we will be pleased to accommodate you.
