Bill and I decided to meet in Sackets Harbor, NY
while Bill was traveling on business for a weekend
getaway. I could not fine a hotel anywhere in the
area with any vacancy so I decided to try a Bed and
Breakfast. My search led me to the Candlelight B&B.
Alice greeted us at the door and showed us to our
room. She said breakfast was at 9AM.
We stayed two nights and met a couple expecting
their first child. We asked when she was expecting
and the conversion went on from there.
At breakfast the second morning we talked to other
guests about how lovely the Candlelight B&B was
decorated. We took forty pictures and thought about
some day opening a Bed and Breakfast of our own.
In February 2004 we did just that. There was zoning
to apply for and supplies to gather. I did not
understand at the time what was involved. It was a
learning experience and still is today. We have met
people from all over world and they come to our home
for a visit. We are truly blessed with the
opportunity to share stories with people from all
walks of life, from all regions of this world. Thank
you so so much.
