A Childhood Dream Come True
from Olde Rhinebeck Inn c.1745
Although Jonna Paolella may have been one of the youngest innkeepers in America when she opened the Olde Rhinebeck Inn, her experience in the industry has hardly been short lived. From the age of seven, owning her own inn has been her dream. Everything that followed lead her to where she is now. At 17, her mother Liana, turned their 1890's Victorian Brownstone in Park Slope Brooklyn into the city's premier Bed and Breakfast.
Jonna acquired a Bachelor's Degree in Hotel/ Hospitality Management from Johnson State College in Northern Vermont, she then worked for a historic hotel in La Jolla, California. The prestigious, private dining University Club in San Diego followed, she returned to the East Coast to run her mother's B&B in Brooklyn, helping to successfully make it one of America's busiest inns.
A slower pace beckoned her to the Hudson River Valley, with its rich history, beautiful landscape and architectural diversity. In 1998, at age 27, she acquired this very special building; an early American telescoping colonial farmhouse that was built between 1738-1790. An intense sweeping renovation occurred that spring and Jonna opened for business that same summer. Since then the Inn has received many accolades and has expanded conservatively to include a a fourth guest suite and a separate cottage.
Deriving pleasure from the details, this natural, relaxed and gracious young host will ensure your stay at the Olde Rhinebeck Inn to be one you wish to repeat.
