It started out as a joke. I called Kraig "Froggie" after a swimming date. From there on people started giving us frogs! We got married and I still call Kraig "Froggie" - I love frogs - and he is my prince.
As our children got older, we started looking for an inn where we could be more a part of our girl's lives instead of working full time "plus" for others and not always being available. We loved our jobs - but family is what is all about.
It took us 10 years of searching to find the inn and area where we wanted to live and raise our children. Just like the Goldilocks fairy tale - some places were too big, too small, too city, too rural, schools not right, local attractions not quite there.
In Londonderry, we found a lovely spot with good schools and wonderful attractions in several nearby towns for our guests. Our guests could be as quiet or active as they chose. Frog's Leap Inn where Angels love to tread - came to be in 1998. A lot of hard work, sacrifice, hope and dreams.
As Kraig says, we took Frog's Leap of Faith in coming here. The decision was a lifestyle one. And it paid off. Our two girls are adults now - wonderful, responsible, reliable, caring adults - worth every minute of all we put into living here.
