Your Hosts are the Ferrier Family - Nick, Jenny, Daniella, Hamish, Isabella & Vicky (our dear Black Lab). We have owned Warwick House since 2003 and embarked on a rewarding project to preserve and enhance this ‘Grand Old Lady.’
Nick was born in Wellington, the son of a Scottish merchant captain and mother a Baltic/German Baroness (Rita von Uexkuell-Guildenband) who married in Singapore in 1959 and expatriated to N.Z. in 1960 where Nick was born. Nick has started and managed a large variety of international businesses in various countries and enjoys all sports.
Jenny was born in Auckland, third daughter of a Dunedin born dentist and physiotherapist mother Grandparents were born in Scotland, England and the Channel Is. Jenny is an interior designer and part time artist also formerly a competitive tennis player, windsurfer and sports coach.
Nick and Jenny lived abroad in Germany and in Asia (Thailand, Indonesia and Hong Kong) for 15 years between 1987-2002.
Our three children were all born overseas, two in Thailand and one in Hong Kong. Vicky is our much loved black Labrador ,who loves a walk around the block or to the park if you feel like a little exercise.
We both love the outdoors are take the opportunity to hike, kayak, fish, mountainbike, play golf,sail and ski whenever possible.
We really enjoy meeting interesting visitors and are pleased to share our home with you and hope you enjoy the special historic atmosphere and heritage of Warwick House.
We feel Nelson is a very special area , the heart of New Zealand.
We hope you have an enjoyable visit pursuing the many great activities here.
