After a very fulfilling professional life, first in
public education, then in private industry, it was
time to do something different. My love affair with
all things British began in high school when I read
Jane Eyre. So when my husband Tom and I found this
charming Victorian B&B in a small northern NJ
village nestled in the Skylands region of the state,
we decided to translate our combined love of
decorating, entertaining and home renovation into
our own business.

At the Whistling Swan Inn, it's all about our
guests. Whether you're a first-time B&B-goer or
someone who stays in bed and breakfast inns
regularly, our goal is to ensure that your
experience is a memorable one.

Come join us in front of the fire with a glass of
sherry or a cup of steaming coffee. My cookie jar is
always filled. I'll be glad to share a favorite
recipe.

At the Whistling Swan Inn, modern amenities are
combined with the elegance of a bygone era. Just for
a little while guests can take a break from the
pressures of everyday life.
