Innkeeper's Story

Life is good!
from The Blue Goose Inn
The Blue Goose Inn began as an opportunity for Sue to return to her beloved Pacific Northwest after having lived away for many years. In 2005, Sue returned home to be near family and friends, and found an idyllic spot on Whidbey Island to open a small B&B. Originally there were only two guest rooms, and Sue and her Mom Barb took care of everything together. Then in 2007, they sold the little Victorian, and bought two larger Victorian homes just a block away! Soon after the move, Marty joined the team, and the group remodeled and renovated for over a year.
The result is a beautiful property with two lovingly restored Victorian homes, offering 6 guest rooms and a vacation rental. Marty and Sue are now married and enjoy running the Inn together. It's the perfect lifestyle for these two - Marty loves to chat with the guests as he's pouring them coffee, and Sue loves cooking up special treats! They have plenty of time to spend on their Cal 39' sailboat, Escapade, and walk the beaches of beautiful Whidbey Island.
