Paul and Susie Geilenfeldt visited the mountains of Taos for many
years for the unspoiled beauty, relaxing atmosphere and outdoor
recreation. We stayed at the Columbine Inn numerous times over
the years and one day mentioned to the previous owner that we
would like to own a lodge in the area. The previous owner said,
“Maybe we can work something out.” Within a few months in 1999,
we found ourselves quitting our jobs in Albuquerque, moving to
Taos, and purchasing the Columbine Inn. We didn’t have time to
think about it as it happened so fast. We have never looked back
and truly love this lifestyle. It’s much harder work than we expected
but a lot more rewarding also. We truly appreciate everyone’s
business and support over the years. It is a pleasure meeting
guests from all over the world and we hope you will visit our area
soon.
