Built in 1914, nestled on the rugged coastline of Oregon, the Edwin K defines the tradition of fine accommodations.

Bed and Breakfast Description

This turn-of-the-century house is across the street from the Siuslaw River and Oregon National Sand Dunes.

A five-course breakfast is served by your hosts, Marv and Laurie VandeStreek, in the formal dining room on exquisite china, fine linens, and crystal. Sherry, tea, and cookies are served in the late afternoon. Espresso drinks are available and made to order.

For more space and privacy, we also have a one bedroom, one bath Apartment Suite, complete with a fully-equipped kitchen, TV / VCR / DVD / stereo, and a queen size bed. Breakfast is not included in the Apartment Suite.

Area Attractions and Activities:

Enjoy fresh water fishing at one of the many nearby lakes, or try your hand at salt water fishing in the Siuslaw River. Crabbing and clamming are also popular activities.

Other attractions include dune buggy excursions on the dunes just south of the Florence bridge, golfing, or a pleasant stroll on the Florence coast.

If you're looking for that perfect gift or souvenir, Bay Street in Historic Old Town Florence has a selection of charming gift shops, art galleries, antique shops, and restaurants, not to mention a friendly small town atmosphere.

Most Popular Rooms:

The Spring Room: Decorated in soft rose tones with a Victorian touch. It has a queen oak bed, and a double shower and separate double whirlpool tub for your enjoyment. Spring has a view of the Siuslaw River and the sand dunes.

The Indian Summer Room: Decorated in soft aqua tones, this is a wonderfully relaxing retreat. This room has a king size bed, large double Jacuzzi tub with shower, exquisite tile work, and an elegant glass block wall. A very romantic setting!

Please give us a call if you will be arriving after check-in hours, which are 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., to arrange for late arrival.
