 The main building features walk-through windows, fourteen foot ceilings and intricately carved doors. Our garden arbor area includes a fountain, swing, putting green, room for croquet and an herb garden for our kitchen. We accommodate business travelers. The day starts with a refreshing "Toast to the Morning" greeting song by Bob with guitar, then comes a full 'knock your socks off' breakfast to ensure that guests will return. A full sit-down breakfast and homemade afternoon treats plus Magnolia Oaks' special soaps, bath gels, shampoo, herb bath beads and terry robes in each room make one feel pampered. Sitting next to Magnolia Oaks is the charming l860s German Saltbox cottage named the Little Red House. The cottage's roomy Flag Suite has two bedrooms, each with queen beds, as well as a sunny sitting porch and bath. The suite accomodates two or four people. The Upper Room of the Little Red House has two double beds, with bath downstairs. The Little Red House common room has a historic painted ceiling of Texas wildflowers and the Texas Star. Area Attractions and Activities: Tour of painted churches, dinner theater at opera house, riverboat tours, country western Opry, Historical District walking tour. Services: Sitting room, library, bicycles, suites, fireplaces, cable TV, antiques, piano Most Popular Rooms: Townsend Room: King bed, private bath, fireplace. 14 foot ceilings, 10 foot windows, view of gingerbread porch and wildlife feeding area. Three of four rooms have king beds. The apartment and the Victorian bedrooms have a double and a twin. |
