DragonFlye Inn
Brooklin, Maine.
Welcome to DragonFlye Inn, an 1874 Victorian in historic Brooklin, Maine. Nestled between Mount Desert and Deer Isle, the inn offers a quiet retreat that is located at the tip of the Blue Hill Peninsula.
Bed and Breakfast Description

When you stay the night at DragonFlye Inn you will enjoy luxuries of modern life, comforts of home, and charm and beauty of bygone eras.
Each morning you will awake to freshly brewed and locally roasted organic coffee as well as a spread of freshly baked organic foods, a selection of fruit, locally made jam, and a fine selection of teas and juices. Our parlors offer abundant comfortable seating, but many guests choose to take breakfast outside as the sun rises over our front porches and gardens.
We designed and decorated each guest room with local art and craft, utilizing and reflecting local materials, skill and energy as much as possible. Each has a queen-sized bed, dresser, closet, and space to sit and relax. All the art and some of the furniture in each room is made either on the Blue Hill Peninsula or nearby in Maine.
Ask for our wireless Internet access code for your laptop or feel free to use the access available on the library computer.
Area Attractions and Activities:
Brooklin Maine, Blue Hill Maine and the entire Blue Hill Peninsula are truly one of the greatest treasures of Maine’s Downeast Acadia Region.
A one-minute walk from DragonFlye's doorstep brings you into the historic village of Brooklin Maine and its old-time general store (with sandwiches and a wine shop), the Morning Moon café, several restaurants, an Irish Guinness Pub, numerous art galleries, a public library, and a post office.
A fleet of bicycles awaits enjoyment by all guests. Away from summertime crowds, Naskeag Point offers a safe/low-traffic environment for cycling. In less than ten minutes you can cycle to one of several beaches for a picnic or a stroll. Numerous small tracks crisscross Naskeag Point, and, at the end of Naskeag Point Road, you can watch lobster boats unload their catch while you enjoy a packed lunch at the waterfront park.
We also provide all the information you'll need for day trips to explore the rest of the Blue Hill Peninsula, Castine Maine, Deer Isle and its lively art community, as well as day trips to Mount Desert Island, Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. In the library you will find a list and description of nearby art galleries and restaurants, as well as descriptions and maps of suggested bike routes, walks and sea kayak trips.
