Bed and Breakfast Description

Lora's Cottage invites guests to the mellow age and relaxation of an era gone by - while all of today's comforts are at your fingertips, including DSL.

This is a cottage that enchants with "little house for two" atmosphere - and there's room for a few more. A small group of intimate friends or lovely young ladies enjoying the charm of vintage atmosphere, just being "out," can you just feel it? (full bed in 2nd bedroom)

The beach is steps away, down the narrow beach lane and you can see the water from the front windows and covered porch of the cottage.

Our breakfast is fresh from a local prize winning baker. whose cinnamon rolls elicit a constant stream of praise from our guests. Your breakfast cassarole will be in the refrigerator ready to pop in the oven for your first morning. If you're lucky enough to stay two nights, (couple) there's enough for your second morning as well. You'll have cinnamon rolls and fruit, coffee & tea, too. (and yes...we order our own treats as often as we can just so we're not too envious of our guests!) Breakfast offer only available from this website.

A special feature of this guest cottage is the private beach. From Lora's Cottage, you'll have acess to a private spit of land via gated wooden footbridge. There's nothing quite like the feel, smell and taste of wide open air and saltwater while walking amidst driftwood logs strewn with sand and seashells. You're bound to spot some eagles or blue herons.

Area Attractions and Activities:

We have a quaint, small village atmosphere to offer our guests. The beach is but seconds away down a narrow, level beach lane. You can walk to shops and restaurants with the beach always at your side.

What to do in the area? Perhaps a day trip to nearby Vancouver or Victoria is on your wish list? Would you like to take in a whale watching expedition? A real "experience Washington" guided kayak trip? There's nothing 'fishy' about fishing stories in our area, either. The quaint countryside beckons with artisan cheese and wine. Dutch Lynden, Ferndale and Bellingham's Fairhaven are nearby treats with shopping, theatres and museums. Or perhaps Seattle's world famous Pike Place Market is your cup of tea, A whole smorgasbord of adventure awaits!
