We are located on a high ocean front bluff with breathtaking views of Frenchman’s Bay, the mountains of Acadia National Park and the lights of Bar Harbor.

Gouldsboro, Maine bed and breakfast: Acadia View B&B

You will find the Acadia View to be a warm and friendly place to stay offering casual elegance in comfortable surroundings. There are four tastefully decorated guest rooms, each with its own private bathroom two of which have full baths and two with large tiled showers. All rooms have decks from which to take in the spectacular views, watch for the bald eagles, enjoy a radiant sunset or listen for the loon’s haunting calls. There is a large comfortable great room with a fireplace.

If you are making your first visit to the area or your five-hundredth, you will find Acadia View to be a great place to call home. We are located on Coastal Rt. 1, one of the most scenic roads in America (formally designated a National Scenic Byway), and we are right in the heart of “Down east Maine”. Your hosts are Jim and Pat Close who want to make sure that your visit is special and that you will leave knowing why Maine’s slogan is “Life the Way it Should Be”.

For a reservation of one night only, the full rental amount is required in advance and within 7 days of the request. For reservations of more than one night, one-half of the total rental amount will be required in advance and within 7 days of the request. Deposits may be made by check, Visa or Master Card and must include the 7% Maine Lodging Tax. The balance of the payment will be due upon arrival.

    DAY TRIPS:
    Roosevelt Campobello Island is 2 hrs. away. See Roosevelt's compound, a small but interesting museum, the nature preserve and the famous East Quoddy lighthouse.
    Visit St. Andrews by the Sea, a quaint village with many interesting shops, 25 foot tide swings and the wonderful Kingsbrea gardens, a little over 2 hrs. away in Canada.

    We are on the “quiet side” of the bay yet surrounded with all kinds of interesting sites and activities. Nearby you will find the Schoodic Peninsula branch of Acadia National Park with the stunning views along Park Loop Road and the crashing surf at Schoodic Point. You can take a vigorous hike up Schoodic Mountain or Black Mountain and more!

    Flanders Bay: This is a beautiful second floor room with a partial view of the ocean from the bay window and a door opening onto a small private deck where you have a commanding view out to Hog Island and Frenchman Bay beyond. Large private tiled shower.

    Cranberry Bay: Unimpeded views over the islands of Frenchman Bay to the mountains of Acadia National Park. The French doors open onto your own second floor deck where you can sit to read a book, sip a glass of wine and watch a flaming sunset. Private Bath
