Lost Bayou Guesthouse is located close to every thing: Galveston's city center, the beach, the historic strand district, cruise terminals, many quality restaurants, Schlitterbahn water park, Moody Gardens, and many other attractions.

This colonial style home was originally built in 1890 as a one and a half story, single-family residence. A major hurricane hit Galveston in 1900 and floated the house off its foundation.

The original house was raised up high enough to build a complete new level underneath. Upon completion in 1906 this multi-family home became a two and a half story structure. The front of the house took-on the colonial look with a front porch on each level and four large columns on both levels.

Lost Bayou Guesthouse offers a relaxing environment with country flair and a lot of fresh air from the Gulf of Mexico. This unique Texas bed and breakfast is one of the few surviving homes after the 1900 hurricane. With its tall ceilings, hardwood floors, and large windows, Lost Bayou Guesthouse stands as a symbol of elegance in design giving a felling of openness but retaining a feeling of warmth and comfort.

The Strand National Historic Landmark District was the heart of Galveston in the late 1800s when its star was bright and it was full of great promise, the "New York city of the Gulf Coast of Texas." With two cruise lines and several port departures a week it's has become famous for great shopping and cuisine by our many visitors.

To Do: Visiting many historical land marks, buildings, Tall Ship ELISSA, and airplane museum. Then there are beaches, biking, hiking, waters skiing, boating, fishing, surfing and much more...

Annual Events: Lone Star Motorcycle Rally, Dickens on the Strand, Mardi Gras, and Sand Castle competition.

Oleander room: Modestly furnished with a pillow-top king bed and 600 count sheets. Decor in burgundy & honey, with exotic accessories. Private bathroom, with 1928 claw-foot bath tub. Large room, 14ft x 14ft, and 11 ft. ceiling. Remote control A/C & heat.

Garden Room: Queen pillow-top bed, with walls finished in light yellow & deep, rich forest green giving you a feeling of a cool spring day. Enjoy a view of our courtyard. Enjoy the private full bathroom. Modestly furnished but spacious 13x13 rooom.

Registrations: Registered guest must be at least 21 years of age. Please be advised that Lost Bayou Guesthouse B&B caters to guest who are mature and open minded toward others regardless of race, color, creed, or alternative life styles. We provide a wide range of books, movies, and magazines with mature subject matter for our guests reading and entertainment pleasure. WE do NOT provide any XX or XXX rated material of any kind. Lost Bayou Guesthouse is not a childproof environment and as a result we offer no accommodations for children under the age 13 [under certain conditions younger children may be allowed - please call first]. This is a matter of safety for your children and our guest. Guaranteed reservations by credit card, check, or cash in the amount of 50% of value on the day booking. Cancellation:  For a full refund cancellations must be made at least 7 days prior to your arrival and must be made before 11:00 AM on the 7th day to be counted for that day. For a 50% refund cancellations must be made no less then 3 days prior to arrival. There are NO REFUNDS for cancellation less then 3 days.  Check in/out Time:  Check In Time: 3:00 to 6:00PM, if you will arrive later please call and make arrangements for late arrival before 6:00PM. Check Out Time: 11:30 AM. Conduct, Smoking, and Visitors: Conduct: Be mindful of other guest who may be here for rest and recuperation by holding down excessive noise after 10:00PM in the evenings and before 8:00AM in the mornings. Smoking: Lost Bayou is a NON-SMOKING facility; smoking is allowed outdoors. Visitors: NO local pick-ups from the bars or other new acquaintances, that you meet while visiting Galveston, are to be invited to Lost Bayou Guesthouse B&B for a visit or over night stay, (you come alone you stay alone). They will be asked to leave the premises immediately, if they fail to leave you will be asked to leave as well - no refunds will be giving. Our guest are welcome to share time with there family and long time friends of Galveston at Lost Bayou Guesthouse B&B. Visitors are welcome from 1:00pm until 8:00pm.   Any disturbance or disorder will result in eviction without a refund. Pets: Lost Bayou has a NO-PET policy, if you bring a pet please make arrangements to board them.
